Ductworks did an incredible job cleaning the vents and air handler. We just bought the home, and they were able to come in the day after closing and get it all done for us. The technician was here for close to 7 hours. The price was extremely reasonable, and we are very happy with the results. Five stars all day.

Ductworks is number 1 in my experience with this company and their staff. Santana arrived ontime and was easy to work with throughout the long visit. He explained the cleaning process, answered all questions asked of him, was very thorough cleaning all the vents/returns and ducts in our home. Santana is very impressive, customer savvy, shared many before/after photos with us, and cleaned everything up before he departed. Other than the loud noise, overall I have zero complaints and highly recommend Ductworks (and Santana). Job Well Done!!

Santana did a really good, thorough cleaning. He was very careful to protect things that couldn't be moved and put small furniture pieces back just where they were. He took the furnace blower outside and washed it. I have never seen any other technician do that. He is very pleasant and professional. They were able to move us up on the schedule, which we appreciate. Overall, we are very glad we had this done with them.

Professional residential air duct cleaning technician arriving at your home
1

At Your Service

Your residential air duct cleaning starts with a friendly technician arriving on time. We treat your home with respect from the first knock.

First, we walk through your home and confirm the scope of work. We review our flat-rate pricing and answer your questions.

Clear communication and great customer service are the cornerstones of our air duct cleaning business. We want you to feel comfortable before any work begins.

2

Job Preparation

Next, before we begin our work, we set up a safe workspace. We protect your home with drop cloths, corner guards, and careful equipment placement.

We also determine how accessible your furnace, main trunk lines, and vent registers are. That way, we can plan the work safely and efficiently.

Then we gently remove each vent register to access the ductwork and begin your residential air duct cleaning.

Cleaning of Air Ducts

Working from the top of your home down to the basement or crawlspace, we clean each supply and return line that leads to the main trunk lines. A power-driven rotary brush scrapes the interior walls of your ducts.

At the same time, a high-velocity vacuum removes dust, pet hair, and buildup.

Because our vacuums are HEPA filtered, only clean air is exhausted while we work.

4

Cleaning of Trunk Lines

After that, we focus on the main trunk lines in your residential duct system. These large ducts hold most of the dust and debris.

This step is the most important part of the cleaning. We create targeted access openings, then scrape and vacuum the trunk lines to remove built-up debris and contaminants.

Once we finish, we seal each opening airtight with access panels. This helps your system perform well over the long term.

5

Furnace Clean & Vent Register Check

Once we’ve completed the ventilation cleaning, we move to the final step: the furnace. This step is smaller in scope but still important.

We open the furnace to inspect the cabinet and blower and confirm they are clean. This helps prevent debris from re-entering your newly cleaned air ducts.

We also check that your vent registers are clean and properly reinstalled. They are then ready to deliver cleaner, more comfortable air.

A Job Well Done

Finally, to finish your residential air duct cleaning, we cycle your system. We perform a last visual check at key vents and registers.

Your technician reviews before-and-after photos and discusses any important findings. We also answer any remaining questions.

As a result, you can feel confident you’ve received a thorough residential air duct cleaning for your home.

Residential Air Duct Cleaning FAQs

Most homes benefit from a professional, whole-system air duct cleaning every 3–5 years. You may want service sooner if you’ve completed a major remodel, had heavy smoke or dust exposure, added pets, or see visible debris at vents.

Colorado is a very arid state, which means dust becomes airborne easily and constantly moves into your home and ventilation system. Over time, that dry, fine dust settles in the ductwork and builds up on internal surfaces, making periodic cleaning especially important.

For a typical Colorado home, plan on a half-day to a full day on site. The exact time depends on the size of your home, the layout of the ductwork, and how easily we can access the furnace and main trunk lines.

While the number of vents and how many systems they serve are big factors, smaller or older homes can have their own challenges. Tighter spaces, older construction, and decades of debris in the ductwork can all add a little time to the visit as we work carefully through each area.

Preparation is simple. All we ask is that you leave about 2–3 feet of clearance around each vent register and around the furnace before our arrival. That little bit of space helps your technician move equipment safely and work efficiently in each area.

If vent registers are caulked or painted to the wall, we carefully score around the register so we can remove it as gently as possible. We’ll take our time and be as careful as we can, but if paint chips or caulking cracks, touch-up remains the homeowner’s responsibility after the cleaning.

We use HEPA-filtered vacuums and tools that capture debris right at the point of contact inside the ducts. Our team protects work areas, pulls the system under negative pressure, and cleans as we go to help minimize dust in your living space during the cleaning.

Yes. We routinely clean homes during Colorado’s colder months. During the cleaning process, we turn off your furnace so we can safely work inside the system, but your home still holds warmth in the walls, floors, furniture, and everything you’ve already heated.

Because homes are insulated and hold heat well, even on very cold days most homes only lose about 5–10 degrees during the cleaning. As soon as we finish and reassemble everything, you can turn the heat back on and bring the temperature right back up.

Yes, basement vents are counted as part of your home’s overall system. All of your ventilation lines tie back into the main ductwork in the basement, and those basement runs are often the most important part of the cleaning. Most of the debris we remove is found in the main trunk lines that run through the basement. The number of vents connected to those trunks helps us understand how long each trunk line is. That length directly reflects how much work is involved to clean them thoroughly—and it’s also how we determine fair pricing for your service.

Call us. We genuinely care about your experience and want to hear from you. We’ll review the situation with you and do our best to offer clear communication and reasonable solutions so you feel taken care of after we finish the job.
